LegalInnovation is a conference of the umbrella organization for legal technology, Swiss LegalTech Association (SLTA), and is carried out in close cooperation with the Swiss Bar Association (SAV/FSA/SBA). The conference aims to share knowledge and educate on the digital transformation of the legal industry. We expect articipants from law firms, legal departments, accounting firms, government agencies, universities, startups and from suppliers of LegalTech solutions.

Christian Laux has 20 years of experience with regard to technology-related legal issues, which he combines with a great passion for technical matters to create highly focused solutions for our clients. Christian lives and breathes digitalisation, which he promotes in Switzerland. Christian Laux studied law in Zurich, Paris and at Stanford University in California, as well as writing a doctorate thesis on the principles of writing contracts for copyright-protected content. He is licensed to practise law in Switzerland.

As former Chief Legal Innovation Officer, Maurus Schreyvogel drives peak in-house legal department performance and accelerates functional innovation. He focuses on corporate legal department best practices and future needs, and application of technologies to increase value to the business while driving down cost and fostering a globally connected culture. His responsibilities also include Legal operations, global processes and systems. He is a member of the Group Legal Leadership Team of Novartis International AG. In 2018 Maurus took over leadership for CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium) in continental Europe and he is a member of the editorial board of the International In-House Counsel Journal.
Maurus began his legal career at a Zurich law firm in 2002 and joined the Corporate IP department of Novartis in 2004. In 2007, Maurus transitioned to a two-year rotation in Finance and Audit and in 2009 he joined the Corporate Legal department as Program Manager. In this role Maurus led strategic, cost-saving Legal and IP initiatives such as the implementation of a global spend management program, the establishment of preferred law firm panels and the introduction of legal knowledge and matter management. In 2013 Maurus assumed responsibility for Legal operations and operational excellence. Between 2015 and 2017 he served as Chief of Staff to the Group General Counsel.
Maurus received his law degree from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland in 2002 and holds a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School in Spain.
Astrid is a lawyer and internationally renowned legal design pioneer. She has been combining law and design for more than 15 years, with senior roles in the insurance-, litigation finance- and service design industries. The legal design expert advises legal inhouse departments and law firms such as Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Airbus, SAP, NetApp and many more. Winner of several design awards as well as honoured as “woman of legal tech”, she develops user-centric legal solutions with a focus on innovation and digital transformation.

Lina is the Managing Partner and co-founder of “This is Legal Design”, a consultancy and think tank, specialized in innovation at the intersection of law, design and technology. She founded the company in 2018, convinced that the digital transformation of the legal industry can only succeed if human needs are placed at the centre of every technical development.
Nicolas is a Swiss qualified lawyer and holds a Bachelor and a Master of Laws from the University of Geneva, and a Master in International Dispute Settlement from the University of Geneva / GIIDS. He also holds Certificates in Disruption Strategy and Digital transformation. Nicolas is currently VP of Business development at KSF Global Services. He also served as executive director for Digilegal.com and was one of the co-creators of the eJust eArbitration software (now visible on madecision.com). Nicolas created eLex.io to facilitate law studies and he manages the iLaw case-law news feed.

Professor Richard Susskind OBE is an author, speaker, and independent adviser to major professional firms and to national governments. His main area of expertise is the future of professional service and, in particular, the way in which the IT and the Internet are changing the work of lawyers. He has worked on legal technology for over 30 years. He lectures internationally, has written many books, and advised on numerous government inquiries.
Richard lectures internationally and has been invited to speak in over 40 countries and has addressed audiences (in person and electronically), numbering more than 250,000. He has written and edited numerous books, including Expert Systems in Law (OUP, 1987), The Future of Law (OUP, 1996), Transforming the Law (OUP, 2000), The Susskind Interviews: Legal Experts in Changing Times (Sweet & Maxwell, 2005), The End of Lawyers? Rethinking the Nature of Legal Services (OUP, 2008), Tomorrow’s Lawyers (2013), and has written around 150 columns for The Times. His work has been translated into 10 languages.

LegalInnovation is a conference of the umbrella organization for legal technology, Swiss LegalTech Association (SLTA), and is organized in close cooperation with the Swiss Bar Association (SBA). The conference aims to share knowledge and educate on the digital transformation of the legal industry. We expect participants from law firms, legal departments, accounting firms, government agencies, universities, startups and from suppliers of LegalTech solutions. Presentations will be in German, English and French. A total of four formats are available to participants. Conventional speeches will be given in the auditorium; among them are three "keynotes" highlighting the transformation as a whole. LegalTech solution vendors will have the opportunity to present their services. Attendees will be able to exchange ideas, enjoy refreshments and visit the booths of LegalTech vendors.
On the previous evening of the LegalInnovation Conference, participants can meet and exchange ideas in person at a coktail party. SLTA's Executive Board, Swiss Bar Association representatives, sponsors and partners will be present.
After the event, we will organize a flying dinner. Seats will also be limited and are allocated on a first arrived, first served basis.
If there are insufficient seats due to regulatory attendance restrictions or other reasons, the LegalInnovation Conference will be held hybrid, meaning that all presentations will also be offered via video communication. The number of participants for the evening event is limited and will be available on a first arrived, first served basis.
In case of cancellation of the event due to federal or cantonal restrictions, the tickets will be refunded.
